Genette is an Environment & Sustainability Designer,
Researcher, Consultant & Lecturer.
I’ve gained 20 years of academic and industry experience in design and sustainability with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree and Master of Arts Degree with Distinction award. I’m now research active towards an Environmental Intelligence PhD.
My professional background is in fashion design, designing apparel and accessories for international brands like Red Bull, Liberty London, Selfridges, ASOS, National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Baseball (MLB), National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL) and many more.
My sustainability journey began as a designer where I learnt linear systems, frameworks and processes across the supply chain in production, sourcing, materials, treatments and waste contributing on mass to the Anthropocene Epoch.
This experience led me into climate work namely circular design, sustainable futures research, impact consultancy, sustainability lecturing, and mentoring working towards the Symbiocene Era.
I'm passionate about climate activism and social justice, with a love for adventure, cabins and outdoor swimming. My mission is to influence, educate and positively impact people’s lives and environments in and around the climate emergency. Empowering optimism, simplicity and achievable environmental action.
