Genette is a B Corp & Impact Consultant,
Climate Ambassador, Lecturer and Activist.
I've achieved a First Class Bachelor of Honours Degree in Fashion and Textiles Design and awarded a Master of Arts Degree with Distinction. Specialising in rigorous deep-dive research methodologies, creative practice, and communication design across sustainable product design, critical design, material futures, visual communications, environment and social justice. I'm now research active towards an ongoing Environmental Intelligence PhD.
I have 18 years of academic and industry experience in design and sustainability with a professional background as a fashion designer in apparel and accessories for international brands like Red Bull, Liberty London, Selfridges, ASOS, National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Baseball (MLB), National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL) and many more.
My sustainability journey started as a designer where I learnt linear systems, frameworks and processes in fashion design, production, sourcing, materials, treatments and waste were negatively impacting human communities, cultures, health and the environment ultimately contributing to the climate crisis. This experience led me into climate work and I now offer B Corp support and Impact Consultancy.
I'm passionate about climate activism and social justice, with a love for adventure, cabins and wild swimming. My mission is to influence, educate and positively impact people’s lives and environments in and around the climate emergency.
